Joanna Gaines is best known for her television show on HGTV called Fixer Upper, however I refer to it as the Joanna Gaines show. Along side her husband Chip Gaines, Joanna takes the worst house in the best neighborhood and makes it the best house on the block. Now, not only is her tv show amazing, Joanna Gaines – the business woman wears a lot of hats and she is quite a business badass y’all.

Today, I want to discuss What We Can Learn About Blogging + Branding From Joanna Gaines.

And trust me, what we can learn from Joanna Gaines is mind-blowing!

I’m kind of in awe of Joanna’s style but I also want to be her best friend. That’s the brand she’s built. So if you’re a Joanna Gaines fan (and even if you aren’t), there is so much that we can learn from her that we can directly apply to blogging; but do you want to know Joanna’s secret to success?

SHE IS A BRANDING GENIUS!

HGTV’s FIXER UPPER:

MAGNOLIA MARKET:

Magnolia Market was actually her first business, selling vintage + antique pieces. On Fixer Upper she mentions Magnolia Market often and is always thrift shopping with her family. Now, she has an online store for out of towners like me!! Go here to shop at the Magnolia Market.

MAGNOLIA HOUSE:

The Magnolia House is a bed and breakfast that was of course, fully renovated by Chip and Joanna. They are offering their viewers a chance to stay in one of their fixer uppers – how completely awesome is that?! If you are visiting Waco, TX anytime soon, consider staying at the Magnolia House!

MAGNOLIA HOME FURNISHINGS:

This beautiful furniture line was designed exclusively by Joanna to convey her fresh, unique design style that embodies her lifestyle of home and family. Joanna says, “This isn’t about designing furniture, this is about creating timeless pieces that help tell your home story.“

There are pieces for every room in your home, from kitchen islands and bath storage pieces. Each piece falls onto a specific genre; Boho, Farm, French Inspired and French Youth, Industrial, Primitive and Traditional.

MAGNOLIA HOME PAINT LINE:

THE MAGNOLIA STORY:

The Magnolia Story is the first book from Chip and Joanna, offering their fans a detailed look at their life together. From the very first renovation project they ever tackled together, to the project that nearly cost them everything; from the childhood memories that shaped them, to the twists and turns that led them to the life they share on the farm today. The Magnolia Story will be launching this year.

THE SILOS:

The Silos is a large, new location for all things Magnolia! Here there will be the new location for the Magnolia Market, Magnolia Flour, the Garden, plus lots more. The renovation of the Silos has been just as magical as the homes that Joanna and Chip flip. Doesn’t this make you want to visit Waco, TX? I know that I sure do.

MAGNOLIA FLOUR:

there will be a new bakery in Waco, Texas and I have a feeling that it will be quite delicious. If you have ever watched Joanna’s show, Fixer Upper, you would have noticed that during EVERY episode she has quaint baked goods offered to her clients and her precious family bring her a cupcake or two during her late decorating nights at her design jobs. Coincidence? I think not – this is BRANDING at it’s finest.

THE GARDEN:

The Garden will take place at the Silos – this area is all about gardening as a family and exploring mother nature together. In every single episode of Fixer Upper, Joanna is seen gardening, usually with her children, on her farm. Let’s also not forget to mention that in yet again almost every single episode they share their baby goats and animals that live on their farm. This is BRANDING 101 y’all.

THE BLOG:

So in conclusion, here is the bottom line. Since day one Joanna Gaines has known who she is, what her style is, and the brand that she has successfully conveyed. This has most definitely set all of her businesses apart from the rest and helped her STAND OUT in her industry. As I am typing this I am sure that Joanna is coming up with yet another business that will fit perfectly into her empire that she has already built, and when I see it at first glance I will know that it is Joanna’s brand. So insanely brilliant huh?
