Have you gotten to the place where your social media is shaping up to that of your wildest dreams? Your images contain the correct colors, and just the right amount of glitter. The buzz words you selected in January are basically illuminated in neon. Something, however, is still missing. Your following base may be strong, but are you lacking in response from those thousands of followers? It is time to reassess how you are engaging your audience, ladies. Though the path may take a moment to get up and going, with these four steps you will be able to connect with your audience more effectively! Let’s discuss how to increase engagement on social media…
How to Increase Engagement on Social Media
-
Respond, Respond, Respond
Did I mention respond? While the social media comments may be few and far between right now, when people start noticing how invested in your followers you really are, your engagement will start to grow. People like to feel important, and if they reach out to you the easiest way to make them happy is to send them a note back. I wanted to include here, that this also involves engaging on blog posts comments. If someone takes the time comment on your actual blog post, this is golden! Always, acknowledge your blog posts comments and they will keep rolling in!

Have Multiple Communication Channels
We all know there are one million and growing numbers of ways to communicate to people in our world. Lots of people have went away from using email as heavy as they use to, to communicate more via social media. Social media platforms are great, don’t get me wrong, but there are still those people who check their emails religiously. By only communicating on social media, you are missing a group of people. So keep tweeting, but also step up your game with your email list. Also, if you have someone’s address from shipping them a goodie, it would be fun to send them an update once in a blue moon by snail mail.

Show your Personality!
Yes, stock pictures are pretty. However, people like to see the real you on occasions. It’s easier to relate to a person online if you are able to get to know them. More people will want to pay attention when they become interested in your life. Also your lovely personality will easily engage more people because they simply feel like they have something in common . So mix up your pictures, and add in what’s going on in your life.
