So why does your biz need styled stock photos?

Um, why in the world not?! Just kidding, there are SO many reasons why your business needs styled stock photos. The main reason I swear by stock images are because they save me time, so I can focus more on my business. Styled images will also set your branding above others. You remember that saying that we have all heard, “Don’t judge a book by its cover” – yeah well, the person that said that probably wrote a sucky book, just saying. Your branding will be lit on fire if you use crisp, clean, bright, and branded stock photos. Imagine this beauty on your blog’s homepage and had coordinating shots throughout your site – so welcoming and intriguing, right?

Let’s start with this image from Haute Chocolate’s latest collection, BRIGHTS. I love the springy vibe of this series!

I was able to make six images from this one image, in less than 5 minutes. I could have easily made more images if I had spent more time on creating them. I used one of my favorite photo editors, PicMonkey to crop and edit these images.

See how easy and beautiful?

How to Make Multiple Images from One Stock Photo:

Crop, rotate, use your white space, paint over anything that you don’t want to use, and zoom in and out of your image. Personally, I use PicMonkey and Canva for editing my photos. When you are editing your images, just think of where you want to use them. Do you need an Instagram image? Crop it into a square! Pinterest image? Go vertical! Facebook image? Crop it to any size. Twitter image? Go horizontal. Using it to promote products, services, or on banners? Just crop it into the size you need. You cannot mess this up!! Don’t be afraid to play around with your images and see what beauty you can create!

Here is another image from Haute Chocolate – gorge, right? Give me everything on this desk!!

The great thing about Haute Chocolate styled stock photos, is that they are high resolution so you don’t ever have to worry about editing your photos and them becoming blurry. Clean, crisp, and lovely images are all you can expect! Here is the last photo that I wanted to work with. It has a lot of white space, perfect for creating graphics, and it cropped beautifully.

I love Haute Chocolate. I often use their images for blog posts, pin images and other things. I’ve actually never thought to make my own mini collections from one photo though. I’ve always tried to gather similar photos (from whichever source I’m using) when I’m creating a series of brand images.

I’m definitely going to give this a go, thanks for the great idea.

Thank you so much for this post Amy! I’ve attempted to create several pics from a single image in the past but never started off with a truly FULL and beautiful image, like the Haute Chocolate examples you shared in this post! I do love HC and have a few of her sparse images in my collection. I just might get her monthly subscription if it’s filled with images like these?! Yay! 🙂
